| The YG-17 Type garbarge lighters are among of the most obscure vessels ever constructed. YG-17 was built between 1931 and 1932. She was present at Pearl Harbor on December 7. |

| The kit comes neatly packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap. My sample had no damaged parts. Casting is sharp and clean, no falsh is present. The hull has excellent detail molded on, and is only a little more than two inches long. A detailed lines drawing is included in place of diagrams, and is sufficent for a kit of this size. |

| Detail parts are all nicely molded and well detailed. Brass rod is included to make the masts. A small photo etch fret includes railings. |
